Rose T. Rusin, 95
Apr 16, 2018Rusin of Calverton died at home on April 4, 2018. She was 95 years old.She was born in Riverhead on Nov. 27, 1922, the daughter of Mikolaj and Mary Tysz.She graduated Riverhead High School on June 25, 1940 and worked for Farm Credit Association for over 45 years.In 1947, she married Albert Rusin of Port Jefferson and they had two children, David and Linda.In her retirement, Rose enjoyed traveling and visited her daughter and granddaughter in California frequently. She was genuinely kind, yet strong and will be greatly missed by anyone who knew her.She is survived by her daughter Linda Rusin Yox and son-in-law Robert Yox of Walnut Creek, California, her granddaughter Jessica Rose Yox of Alameda, California, her sister Nellie J. Tysz of Calverton, and her nieces and nephews.The family will receive visitors on Sunday, April 8 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home, 406 East Main Street, Riverhead. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 9 at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, 820 Pond View Road, Riverhead. Interment will follow at St. Isidore’s Cemetery.
